We Celebrate Over 100 Graduates in 2026

03 Nov 2026

Excitement, pride and a sense of achievement filled Leipzig’s historic St Nicholas Church today as Lancaster University Leipzig celebrated the graduation of its Bachelor and Master’s students.

Graduates were joined by proud family members and friends who travelled from around the world to celebrate this important milestone. One of the most memorable moments of the ceremony was the traditional rose presentation by Lancaster University’s Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Professor Simon Guy. As each graduate crossed the stage to receive their rose, the church was filled with enthusiastic applause and cheers from family and friends.

The ceremony also featured speeches by the University’s Chancellor’s Medalists, recognising the highest-achieving Bachelor and Master’s graduates, as well as inspiring addresses from distinguished guest speakers Dr Martina Münch, Deputy Mayor for Social Affairs of the City of Leipzig, and Dr Rupert Graf Strachwitz of the Maecenata Foundation and the German-British Society.

Following the ceremony, graduates, guests and staff gathered at Leipzig’s historic Alte Handelsbörse. There, the celebrations continued with a reception and a toast to the achievements of the Class of 2026. The event also provided a special opportunity for graduates to say farewell to their lecturers, share memories and reflect on their time at university before embarking on the next chapter of their lives.

As they leave Lancaster University Leipzig and join our growing global alumni community, our graduates are now ready to take the next steps in their careers around the world. We wish them every success for the future and look forward to staying connected through our Alumni Network.
