Sabine Gerlach is an experienced higher education professional and Chartered Marketer who brings about change by building trusting relationships with partners, stakeholders and students to deliver the best student experience.
Her expertise is in International Student Mobility, Strategic Development and Pedagogy, underpinned by academic qualifications in management, marketing and education. Before joining Lancaster University Leipzig, she was Assistant Professor in Marketing at Lincoln University, where she currently commences her doctoral studies.
Steph joined Lancaster University Leipzig in June 2025. With an academic background in History and German Studies from the University of Manchester, Steph has gained valuable professional experience through involvement in international projects and institutional collaboration at the Universität Leipzig. Their work has focused on supporting globally minded academic initiatives and fostering intercultural exchange.
Currently part of the Academic and Student Services team at Lancaster University Leipzig, drawing on their understanding of both local and international academic environments, they assist students with administrative processes and integrating into university life, and the organisation of all things SCC.
Iason has been part of the Academic and Student Services team at Lancaster University Leipzig since January 2026. Equipped with an academic background in History and Global Studies, Iason has had diverse educational and professional experiences in Greece, Belgium and Germany.
His journey throughout Europe has brought him into contact with various people from all over the world, giving him unique perspectives. At Lancaster University Leipzig, Iason supports students with administrative procedures and helps them to integrate into an intercultural academic environment.
Sofiia joined Lancaster University Leipzig in August 2026, bringing a diverse background in customer service and education. Through her volunteer work in a UNICEF education programme and her role as an Event Manager Coordinator at a university, she developed a student-centred approach, recognising that every learner has unique needs and challenges. She provides approachable and effective support to help students succeed throughout their studies.
As an international student herself, Sofiia understands both the opportunities and the challenges of studying in a new country. She is always happy to assist students and is dedicated to making their university experience as enjoyable and rewarding as possible.
