Knowledge Transfer

Guest Speakers

At Lancaster University Leipzig, we regularly welcome guest speakers from industry who bring real-world insights directly into the classroom. These sessions give students the opportunity to engage with current trends, practical challenges, and innovative ideas from leading organisations such as SAP.

We invite professionals to present their company, share expertise on a specific topic, or discuss real challenges their organisation is currently facing. Guest lectures are an excellent way to connect with talented students, increase your organisation’s visibility, and contribute to shaping future graduates.

Master’s Thesis Collaborations

Our Master’s students have the opportunity to work on real-life business challenges as part of their thesis projects. In collaboration with partner organisations, students apply academic knowledge to practical problems, delivering fresh perspectives and innovative solutions.

In the past, students have successfully completed their theses in partnership with organisations such as ZEISS and BUND e.V..

If your organisation has a research question, strategic challenge, or innovation topic, collaborating on a Master’s thesis can be a valuable way to explore it in depth.

Student Projects

As part of their degree programmes, particularly in BSc (Hons) Software Engineering, students work on hands-on projects with real-world impact. These projects allow students to develop practical solutions while gaining valuable experience working with external partners.

For example, students have developed a backend solution for Leipziger Verkehrsbetriebe (LVB) and collaborated with companies like Spread Group on digital and technical challenges.

Partnering on a student project enables organisations to benefit from fresh ideas, agile development approaches, and early access to emerging talent.

Company Tours

Company tours offer students valuable insights into workplace environments,  and industry operations. These visits help bridge the gap between academic learning and professional practice while allowing organisations to showcase their teams, technologies, and career opportunities.

By hosting a company tour, you can engage directly with motivated students, strengthen your employer brand, and build early connections with potential future hires.
