Dr Morteza Babazadeh Shareh

Assistant Professor (Lecturer) in Computer Science

Morteza Babazadeh Shareh joined Lancaster University Leipzig in 2026 as an Assistant Professor in Computer Science. He received his PhD in Computer Engineering from the IAU Science and Research Branch, Tehran. Prior to joining Lancaster, he worked as a Research Scientist at the Leibniz Institute of Photonic Technology (Leibniz-IPHT) in Jena, where he led research on data-driven epidemic modelling and scientific machine learning.

His research focuses on scientific machine learning, automated model discovery for dynamical systems, time-series analysis, optimisation, and artificial intelligence. He has over 15 years of teaching experience in computer science, covering subjects such as programming, algorithms, artificial intelligence, and data science.

His research has been published in international journals, including IEEE Internet of Things Journal, Information Sciences, and The Journal of Supercomputing.
