Dr Tri Ngo

Assistant Professor (Lecturer) in Computer Science

Tri Ngo is an Assistant Professor in Computer Science. His teaching focuses on developing critical thinkers in a world increasingly shaped by AI. He sees his role as helping students discover their unique talents and interests as part of their own process of self-actualization. Tri completed his B.S. and M.Eng. in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at MIT, and his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University. He grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Atlanta, Georgia. His research has focused on brain and cardiac MRI reconstruction algorithms, and he brings industry experience from Tesla and Enphase Energy. He is also passionate about democracy and has run for political office in Oakland, California.
