Three New Degree Programmes Launching in October 2026

09 Dec 2025

Lancaster University Leipzig announces the launch of three new academic programmes set to begin in October 2026:

Prospective students can already apply for admission, marking a significant expansion of the university’s academic portfolio in the fields of digital technology and management.

The new programmes reflect the institution’s strategic focus on equipping students with the skills required to navigate and shape an increasingly digital and data-driven global economy. The BSc (Hons) in Cyber Security is designed to prepare graduates to address complex digital threats and safeguard critical information systems. The BSc (Hons) in Business Management with Entrepreneurship will focus on innovation, leadership, and entrepreneurial thinking in a rapidly evolving business landscape. The MSc in Business Analytics will develop advanced analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities for future business leaders.

The reason that we are launching these three programs is that Lancaster University Leipzig is a fully integrated branch campus of a globally recognized powerhouse with two schools in Leipzig the School of Computing and Communication and the Management School. I’m delighted to announce that we will launch three exciting new programs in 2026.

Dr. habil. Benjamin Hammer Interim Academic Dean

With the School of Computing and Communications and the Management School based in Leipzig, the university continues to strengthen its mission to educate global citizens at the intersection of management and digital technology. The newly announced programmes directly align with this mission, bringing together technical expertise, entrepreneurial thinking, and advanced data analytics.

With applications now open nearly two years ahead of launch, Lancaster University Leipzig invites prospective students from around the world to be part of this next phase of academic growth and innovation.
