Lancaster University Leipzig took part in the University Open Day 2026 (Tag der offenen Hochschultür 2026), welcoming school students from across Saxony who visited Leipzig to explore the range of universities in the state.
Throughout the day, visitors were able to discover Lancaster University Leipzig’s central city-centre location, modern teaching facilities, vibrant international student community, active student clubs, and dedicated Career Centre. Prospective students attended taster lectures offered by the Business and IT departments and engaged in informal conversations with student ambassadors, gaining first-hand insights into academic life and the wider student experience.
Lancaster University Leipzig extends its thanks to all lecturers and staff members whose commitment and enthusiasm helped create a welcoming and informative experience, offering visitors an authentic impression of what it is like to study at the university.
One of the true highlights was welcoming a prospective student who travelled all the way from Italy specifically to attend our University Open Day. He and his father were particularly impressed by the campus, the personal approach of our lecturers in small class settings, the friendly and international student community, and the opportunity to learn some German on campus alongside studying in English.
