This week, we hosted an insightful event titled “Developments in Scamming – Ways of Staying in Control” together with the International Women’s Club of Leipzig. The session aimed to raise awareness about the evolving landscape of digital scams and equip attendees with strategies to protect themselves.
Experts including our lecturers Dr Jiejun Hu-Bolz and Dr Amna Asif from the Computer Science department shared their knowledge, alongside the president of the International Women’s Club of Leipzig and Rico Reichel Reichel from the Crime Prevention Unit Leipzig. All of them explained recent crime developments and preventive measures. An interactive scamming game was also part of the programme, providing a hands-on experience to understand scam tactics.
