Chinese Lunar New Year

07 Feb 2024

Yesterday, our students hosted a fantastic event to celebrate the upcoming Chinese Lunar New Year. We had a wonderful time exploring Chinese traditions and cultures while enjoying a variety of traditional Chinese snacks and sweets.

Our students taught guests how to use chopsticks, explained the 12 Chinese zodiac signs, and guided them to experience the art of Chinese calligraphy, creating their own chunlian with the character “福” (Fu), symbolizing good fortune and blessings.

Did you know that displaying the “福” symbol upside down signifies the arrival of good luck? It’s a beautiful representation of how blessings are just around the corner.

Let’s continue to embrace diversity and cultural exchange, fostering understanding and appreciation for traditions from around the globe.

Wishing everyone a prosperous and joyous Chinese Lunar New Year!
